A Quick, Easy Eye with Moonshot Jellypots

A video post! Today’s video is a mini tutorial with Moonshot Jellypots, and how to use them to achieve a very simple 5 minute eye look. This look is one of the quickest looks I do when I’m in a rush in the mornings, but it’s still so pretty.

Who are Moonshot?

Moonshot are the first beauty brand from entertainment company YG. On their website it states their mission is to provide beauty for ‘trendy, stylish and modern women’. I don’t know if I’d classify myself as that, but my experiences with Moonshot have been great. I love going to their flagship store in Samcheongdong (or in the Lotte Young Plaza Myeongdong), because the store itself is beautiful, and the assistants are extremely helpful. They willingly test the makeup on you at the dressing tables, and really help you to discover different colours and combinations that you may not have thought of. The products themselves have been impressive for me- all long wearing, pigmentation has been fantastic in my lip and eye products which is unusual for many Korean brands, and you get a lot of product for your money. I have read some negative comments that they use the brand to promote their artists, but even if this is true, the reason I shop there is because I love the shopping experience and have really enjoyed the products I have tried so far.

My Jellypot Daytime Eye

First, I apply Moonshot Jellypot in M07 Deia into the crease of my eye with a firm brush. This is a soft matte brown colour and it’s very buildable, so I start lightly and keep adding until it reaches the intensity I want.

Then I take Moonshot Jellypot in 801 Bronze Champagne, a very pretty shimmery bronze, and apply it with my finger to the main part of my lid, my brow bone, and the inner corner of my eye. I make sure to blend it well. I apply it with my (clean) finger because my jellypot has actually dried up, after being open for quite a while. In this dry state the shimmer is still gorgeous but it doesn’t pick up so well on tools.

I’ve then gone with my MAC Blacktrack Fluidline Eye Liner Gel, and Dollywink brown mascara, both of which finish off this eye beautifully.

Here’s a little video of the routine…I’m really new to video and still have a lot to learn. The quality here is not great, but I’m trying to improve! Please bare with me on this learning process…if anyone can give me some idea as to why the quality seems to drop by uploading to YouTube, pleeeease enlighten me!

And that is it! An extremely easy eye that is great for day time. I love the Moonshot Jellypots for a number of reasons: the prettiness, the ease, and the long wearing factor. I definitely intend to add more to my small collection.

Where can I buy?

In Korea the Moonshot stores are located in Samcheondong, Lotte Young Plaza Myeongdong 1F, Lotte Duty Free Myeongdong 9F, Lotte Young Plaza Daegu 1F, and I believe they have just opened a new store in Gangnam too.

Moonshot Online Store – I have never shopped online so cannot comment on this.

Have you purchased any Moonshot products? What are your experiences? Let me know in the comments!
