Hi guys! So a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to make a video, testing out one of my new favourite masks, the Skin1004 Zombie Pack. This video was sponsored by B2 Link, however all views are our own, honest opinions, and I actually love this mask! I’ve used it a number of times and have been equally impressed on each occasion.
The company wanted my boyfriend, Mikey, and I to test it, and it was so fun filming this with a complete beauty no-goer. Mikey knows NOTHING about cosmetics or skincare, but he’s always up for a laugh, and it was hilarious to do this together. Hope you enjoy! I’ve included a little run down of my thoughts on the mask beneath the video too! The link to purchase is at the bottom (not an affiliate link- I do not receive anything from you clicking it).
What is the mask?
It’s a wash off mask, from company Skin1004, to tighten pores and lift skin.
How to use:
You mix the activator liquid with the powder until its an eggy consistency with no lumps.
You then paint it on your face and leave to dry. It will tighten, and after 10-15 minutes you wash it off.
Ingredients (according to cosdna):
Zombie Pack Powder:
Hydrolyzed Albumin, Zea Mays Starch, Silica, Allantoin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Panthenol, Lavandula Angustifolia Oil, Propolis Extract, Fragrance
Zombie Pack Activator:
Water, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Seed Powder, Selaginella Lepidophylla Extract, Betula Alba Juice, Adenosine, Allantoin, Panthenol, Copper Tripeptide-1, Glycerin, Sodium PCA, Disodium EDTA
Personally I laaaaav this product. It’s easy to mix, and fairly easy to paint on (if Mikey can manage it I’m sure you guys can hahah). The scent is a little odd, but it doesn’t linger once the pack dries.
Over about 15 minutes, the mask dries and tightens. This can feel a little tingly and tight, and it cracks in the areas your skin is most dry, giving the zombie effect. In other areas, it kinda bubbles, which is supposed to show areas that lack elasticity. It’s fun to see how it dries and how you look- as I said in the video, I look like an old woman when I use it!
It dries quite solidly and is initially a little difficult to wash off. I find that continually splashing my face with warm water and gently rubbing, allowing it to come off with as little ‘scrubbing’ as possible, is best, to avoid abrasion.
Once it’s rinsed off, I LOVE HOW MY SKIN IS. The main result for me is the super smooth skin. Baby soft. Amazing. Also the brightening effects, as you can see in the video, are incredibly apparent. My face glows afterwards.
I also noticed that the large pores across my nose were significantly tighter after use, although it was a temporary effect, as I’d expect.
I thought my skin would feel completely stripped after rinsing off the mask, and although it does feel quite tight and needs moisturizing (I really enjoy doing a sheet mask afterwards), my face feels nowhere near as stripped as I thought it would.
I think using this mask about once a week, or once every couple of weeks, has really been helping maintain soft skin texture and brightness. I’m super impressed with these masks, and will continue to use them. I would note that if you have particularly sensitive or dry skin it’s probably worth patch testing first! I have very sturdy, normal/combination, non-sensitive skin.
Where to purchase
As far as I’m aware, this product is currently only available in Korea and has just begun shipping to the United States. If you are based in the US, you can buy the masks here on Amazon for $14.99. This includes 8 powders and 8 activators (which means 8 uses in total) and a brush tool to apply with. I think this is actually a bargain for a product that would be used about once a week.
For those of you not in the US, I hope they will soon be expanding their market, and I will be sure to let you know if I find out more information on this! If you’re from outside of Korea and the US, and have already purchased these, I’d love if you could share where you purchased in the comments! Thanks!
Would you try this mask? What did you think of our video?!
