Moonshot Microfit (G-Dragon) Cushion Review

Anyone who follows me on IG will probably know I’ve been a Moonshot fan since they first launched a few years ago. They’ve steadily grown in visibility, and I still purchase and enjoy a lot of their products (their jelly pot eyeshadows are my favourite). When they recently had their first ever sale, with a shocking 50% off all products, I did a nice haul (featured in my IG story highlights if you’re interested @skinfullofseoul), and grabbed their Microfit Cushion as recommended by my friend @doniatheconsumer on IG. Let’s see how it’s worked out!

Green Face Powder? Laneige Anti-Pollution Finishing Pact Review

Laneige are one of those cult Korean skincare beauty brands, and seeing Laneige products makes me feel nostalgic. It was one of the first brands I tried back in 2014 when I arrived in Korea, and I really liked their sleeping pack at the time. I haven’t tried anything from them for a looooong while, although their BB cushion has been on my ‘to-try’ list for years. Q-Depot, a Korean cosmetics online shop, recently asked if I wanted to test the Anti-Pollution Finishing Pact, and with my combination skin a little more oily right now, I was definitely happy to oblige! So let’s see how it worked out for me.

This was provided courtesy Q-Depot, in return for honest review.

Review: Jung Saem Mool Artist Contour Palette

I’ve mentioned JSM Beauty pretty frequently on my Instagram and stories (most recently because of their exciting flagship store opening). They’re the beauty brand of world-renowned Korean makeup artist Jung Saem Mool, and they kindly sent me a selection of their best sellers which I was so excited about it (see my Disclaimer tab for my policies). As I wrote in my review of the Essential Star-cealer Foundation, I hugely admire Jung Saem Mool, and so my expectations have been high for all of her products. Today I’m going to be reviewing the Artist Contour Palette…let’s go!

Review: Chateau Labiotte Wine Lipstick

Call me basic, but I love wine and I love lipstick. So a wine lipstick? Yeah, count me in.

Who the hell are Labiotte?!

I’d never heard about Labiotte until they became famous for these cute little vino products. Turns out they’re actually little sister company of Tony Moly, with a more sophisticated and slightly more expensive vibe. If you want more information on the Labiotte brand story you can check it out here. But to keep it brief, their mission is to combine dermatological research, ‘powerful energy of pure nature’, and the pursuit of healthy skin and beauty to create their products. I also like that (if their actions actually do match their words) they follow eco friendly policies and support environmental campaigns.

Onto what you came for, the lipstick…

My Favourite K-Beauty Makeup Picks of 2016

I’ve been finding it pretty hard to sit down and focus on my blog recently…I’ve felt tired and kinda down, January always does this to me. It’s not my month! But enough self  wallowing in nothing. I had a great 2016 year in terms of Korean makeup. In 2015, I found a lot of the products I bought to be hit or miss, and a little bland. But with some new fabulous base makeup, and bolder brighter colours in the shops, I discovered some gems for myself and my face in twenty sixteen! Onto my choices.

Some of these products were provided by individuals/companies for my review consideration. These will be specifically disclosed in the text. See my disclaimer for more information on my collaborations.

Review: Berrisom Lip Tint Pack

image

If you follow my Instagram, I’m sure you think I’m being paid or bribed by Berrisom right now- not the case haha. I keep mentioning their products A LOT. Let me explain…Brenda from Berrisom reached out to me, offering to send me some ‘samples’, with no pressure to review. I liked her friendly, laid back vibe and lack of pushiness so I agreed. They sent me the BIGGEST box of full size products, and after trying their products, I’ve really fallen in love with a number of their pieces of makeup (products provided free of charge, but all opinions expressed here are 100% my own). The product that really interested me and grabbed my attention were the My Lip Tint Packs. I’d seen these before, and once I tried them, I realised why I’d read so many great reviews!

Review: Heroine Long and Curl Mascara

When I was in Japan back in February, I did a criminal amount of shopping. Something I was desperate to pick up was Japanese mascara. I’ve always read such great things about Heroine, and was keen to see if it was all hype, or actually a great brand. I went for the Long and Curl Super Waterproof Black Mascara in the end.
