Review: Piibu Sheet Mask Subscription Box

image

Piibu are a relatively new sheet mask subscription box, currently available in the US. As the website states “you will receive 8-10 korean skincare face masks in each box. The masks range from sheet masks, wash off masks, hand masks, feet masks, and eye masks.” They very kindly sent me their September box free of charge for review, and I was happy to give an honest review in exchange! September Box

The September box was based on an anti-trouble theme, and included: “1 Nutrition, 2 Anti-Aging, 2 Brightening, 2 Clarifying, and 2 Hydration sheet masks”.

The packaging was pretty simple- just a white box with aqua colored tissue inside covering the masks, and the above notecard. Simple, but fine!

The masks in this box, in no particular order:

  • Mediheal Teatree Care Solution Essential Mask
  • Surmedic Vital Collagen
  • Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Rose
  • Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Lime
  • Nature Republic Real Nature Mask Sheet Acaiberry
  • Skinfood Everyday Super Nut Facial Masksheet
  • Llang Natural Energy Fitting Mask Hyaluronic Acid
  • Llang Self Clinic 3 Step Kit Moisturising
  • Skinfood Snail Beauty in a Food Mask

I really liked the selection, and the thing I liked most was that this box gave me the chance to try masks I wouldn’t have thought of before. I tried to figure out how much the masks would cost separately and I thiiiink there’s about a saving of $2, which is decent! Personally, the highlights for me were the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Lime mask and the Llang Self Clinic 3 Step Kit.

The Innisfree mask smelt amazing and the next morning my cheeks were sooo soft and bright- great results! I actually stroked my face for a good 5 minutes, so smooth.

The Llang Self Clinic 3 Step Kit Moisturising was a really fun mask to try. It included a peeling swab, an ampoule, and a great thin mask. I enjoyed the mini pamper session, and was impressed with how it left my skin smooth and hydrated. Like I said earlier, I was happy to try a mask that I’ve never seen or had a chance to test out before.

I was a little disappointed by the Mediheal Teatree mask- it smelt strongly of alcohol and didn’t have ‘silky touch’ material as described. The Skinfood Snail Beauty in a Food Mask also couldn’t live up to their hydrogel snail mask IMO, and the material was a little thick for my liking.

Overall, I enjoyed the masks Piibu selected for this month, and definitely would be interested to see what they put in their future boxes. I think the selection was good value, a nice variety, and a good mix of brands. If I didn’t live in Korea, I’d definitely be on the lookout for an easy and affordable way to try out different masks, and getting a great selection like Piibu provide, delivered straight to your doorstep, is perfect.

You can check out their website for further information. Have you tried sheet mask subscription boxes? What do you think of this Piibu box selection?
