Lagom Skincare Review and CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY

I love trying out a range of a brand’s products and really getting a true feel for them across the board. I had wanted to try Lagom for a while. If you haven’t heard of Lagom, it’s a skincare brand that was created with Korean makeup guru Go Won Hye. They have a unique, patented formula that uses AQUALICIA technology which helps control moisture within skin. After a couple of months of trying 5 of their main products, I have concluding thoughts on each and every one! Karolina at Skinsider UK is so sweet and gifted me this entire line AND to one of you for Christmas!! Check out my IG @skinfullofseoul for more details on our giveaway partnership and how to enter. Here’s an overview of the 5 products in the photo above…full ingredients lists can be found on Skinsider.

Lagom Cellup Gel to Water Cleanser

What is it? A huge tube (180ml) of gel cleanser. Can be used as first step or second step cleanser.

How do I use it? Apply to damp skin, massage in, and rinse off. I mainly use it as a morning cleanser but also sometimes at night as a second-step.

Pros:

  • Huge tube, great value for amount of product. Lasting a long time even with daily use.
  • Hygienic packaging.
  • Very gentle cleanser- pH 6, non-stripping. Featured in my gentle winter cleansing guide.
  • Cleans skin thoroughly.

Cons:

  • I genuinely cant think of any!

This is one of my favourite products from the whole line! A real quality cleanser that does the job, feels gentle on skin, and will last ages.

Lagom Cellup Micro Foam Cleanser

What is it? A foaming cleanser, used alone or as a second step cleanser.

How do I use it? Apply to damp skin, massage in and rinse off. I tested it mainly as a second-step at night.

Pros:

  • Large tube- hygienic packaging.
  • Cleans skin thoroughly.

Cons:

  • I find it drying, as I do with most foaming cleansers.
  • High pH- adds to the stripping feeling.
  • Skin feels quite tight afterwards.

Overall, I wasn’t a huge fan of this because I generally don’t use foaming cleanser for the reasons listed above!

Lagom Cellus Mist Toner

What is it? A toner spray for hydration and moisturizing.

How do I use it? Spritz onto skin. I personally use it after cleansing at the toner step, but can be sprayed onto skin any time.

Pros:

  • Super hydrating product- my skin feels seriously refreshed and hydrated after use.
  • It moisturizes skin. The formula contains numerous oils, and although it doesn’t feel oily on skin, you can definitely feel the moisturizing effect.
  • Helps keep skin soft and supple.
  • Prepares skin well for next skincare steps.
  • Large amount of product (150ml).

Cons:

  • Personally, I find the spray a little aggressive. It spritzes a lot of liquid at one time! Others love that it does this, so it’s only really a personal con.

There are no other cons for me- I’m really enjoying this product and I seem to reach for it most days. It’s my second favourite product from the range!

Lagom Cellus Mild Moisture Cream

What is it? A medium-weight moisturizing cream.

How do I use it? Apply as final skincare step either day or night. I have used it at both times of day but prefer it for evening.

Pros:

  • Fantastic packaging- hygienic and easy to use.
  • Cream-gel texture. It glides so effortlessly onto skin and goes from a cream to a gel-type feel.
  • Deeply moisturising and nourishing.
  • One pump covers most of the face, and I think the product will last a long time.

Cons:

  • Takes a good few minutes to absorb and therefore not really a quick morning cream for me. This isn’t a huge negative at all, but it’s the only “con” I can think of!

I think this is a great cream for most skin types and I adore the pump packaging.

Lagom Cellus Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA+++

What is it? A light-weight daily sunscreen.

How do I use it? Apply to skin after moisturizer has absorbed. Apply to skin evenly and pat in.

Pros:

  • Lovely fluid texture- spreads easily over skin.
  • Full UVA and UVB protection which is really important for daily use.
  • Quite moisturising for skin. A great choice for dry skin and winter!
  • No white-cast.

Cons:

  • It takes a little while to absorb
  • Leaves a slight sheen on skin.

This is a really quality sunscreen that applies well and sits under makeup nicely.

Overall I’ve been hugely impressed with these products and the brand in general. Their minimal yet highly effective and hygienic packaging is fantastic, and each product seems to have been made with such quality. They all perform so well and I’d happily re-purchase all (minus the foaming cleanser). Remember to enter my international giveaway to win all 5 of these products in time for Christmas! Just head to @skinfullofseoul on Instagram and follow the rules.

Happy festive season for whatever you celebrate at this time year!
